The OPTIBELT FLEX COUPLING is a flexible coupling that combines all the expected benefits of a perfect flexible coupling. It is a highly flexible rubber coupling that offers a wide range of applications for technical designers and engineers. By incorporating different types of steel flanges for various types of applications, the FLEX coupling provides excellent flexibility, allowing for significant deviation without causing wear, with low restoring force in any direction.

With the rubber installed at the factory, it allows for assembly and disassembly as per standard without needing to move the connected engines. Torque transmission occurs without any backlash, as the flexibility of the coupling effectively absorbs impacts, vibrations, and noise.

The rubber, with an internal fabric layer, is made from either natural rubber or chloroprene (Chloroprene) in a fire-resistant, antistatic, and oil-resistant version, known as FRAS (Fire Resistant, Antistatic, Oil Resistant). The FRAS version is also used in operations related to Ex (explosion protection) according to EC Directive regulations. The natural rubber version can be used in temperatures ranging from –50 °C to +50 °C, while the FRAS version can be used in temperatures ranging from –15 °C to +70 °C.
